What To do When You Have An Allergy Skin Rash

A number of things can cause an allergy skin rash to your body: sumac, mold, pets, poison ivy, poison oak, etc. An allergy skin rash is a very common allergic symptom, and usually isn’t fatal.

There are a number of ways to treat and sooth skin rashes caused by allergies.

Soaking in a warm bath is always a relaxing experience, especially when you have a skin rash. Try to use unscented soap and do not scrub or scratch your affected areas. Do not use water that is too hot; a little more than lukewarm is good. Keep your skin hydrated by putting on moisturizer to your rash area.

As mentioned above, do not scratch yourself even though it is very tempting to do so with the itchy skin. This will make matters worst. Wear some gloves to bed to prevent scratching in your sleep.

The last tip is to stay away from the sun as much as possible; keep yourself inside air conditioned environments, and use a humidifier whenever possible to hydrate your skin. This will make the skin less itchy and the allergy skin rash go away faster.
